Amber graduated from California State University Los Angeles in 2024, where she received her Master of Arts in Psychology, prior to which she completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychological Sciences with a minor is Sociology from Purdue University. Over the course of her academic career she gained over four years of experience in clinical psychology research, defended a masters thesis and presented at multiple conferences. Additionally, Amber was awarded the Early Career Award by the International Academy of Suicide Research for her work on academic stress and suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Amber's research interests including understanding how social support (online and in person) and academic stress affect suicidality in youth. She is also interested in understanding the development and recurrence of suicidal thoughts and behaviors during adolescence and using wearable technological interventions. She plans to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology.
