Sarah Nelson BS

Sarah graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelors of science in psychology and a minor in neuroscience. In her undergraduate career, Sarah worked at the Developmental Social Cognitive Neuroscience lab, where she was involved in projects looking into social motivation and loneliness in autistic and non-autistic adolescents. She completed a senior honors thesis that examined how neural activation to social reward predicted adolescents' socially motivated behavior to learn more about a novel peer. Sarah plans to pursue a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. In the future, with research interests in the intersection between adolescent development, sensitivity to peer feedback, and the development of affective disorders.
