2016-FEND graduate student Dana Rosen receives the Bassell Publication Award. 

2017-The FEND lab completes the Using Smartphones to Enhance Treatment of Childhood Anxiety (SmartCAT) study.  

2017-Lauren Bylsma is awarded a Brain and Behavior Research Foundation NARSAD Young Investigator Grant. Her project is entitled Gut Microbiome Influences on Reward and Stress Systems in Depressed, High Risk, and Healthy Adolescents. The project is scheduled to begin in January of 2018 and continue for 2 years.

2017-FEND student Elisa Borrero receives the University of Pittsburgh School of Arts and Sciences Post-Baccalaureate Hot Metal Bridge Fellowship.

2017-FEND post-doc Mary Woody receives the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic Annual Research Day Award for Outstanding Poster Presentation. Mary received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Binghamton University in August 2017, as well as the Neurocognitive and Translational Research SIG Best Poster Award at the 2017 Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) Annual Meeting.

2017-Dr. Judith Morgan receives an NIMH BRAINS Award as well as a NARSAD Young Investigator Award.

2017-FEND graduate student Rosalind Elliott receives her Master's Degree.

2016 - FEND post-doc Caroline Oppenheimer is awarded a Career Development Grant from the NIMH and appointed Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her project focuses on the neural underpinnings of social rejection and associations with mood in teen girls. Congratulations Caroline!!

2015 - Former FEND undergraduate Kevin Tang organizes a mental health art exhibit at the University of Pittsburgh.  

2015 – Lab Director Jennifer Silk and collaborator Dr. Cecile Ladouceur receive an R01 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health to study the role of social threat and reward processing in the onset of anxiety and depression in adolescent girls.

2015 – Graduate student Rosalind Elliott is awarded as a Millennium Scholar at the Society for Research in Child Development.

2015Lab Director Jennifer Silk is named the recipient of the 2015 UPPDA Mentor Award AND the 2015 National Postdoctoral Association Mentor Award in recognition of her exceptional mentoring of post-doctoral scholars.
